Since 2014 and the implementation of the 2020 Olympic agenda, the International Olympic Committee has invited the organizing committees to propose the integration of new sports into the program of their edition as additional sports .

Paris 2024 took this opportunity to propose to the IOC the addition of four sports to its programme. Here we find surfing, skateboarding, climbing and breaking.
