What to do during your stay in Paris 15?

Categories : Discover Paris, published on : 3/8/23

The 15th arrondissement of Paris is not always the most attractive district for tourists. However, it is close to the major sites of the capital, and is home to monuments that are really worth a visit. Here are 6 ideas for outings during your stay in Paris 15.

Discover the Statue of Liberty

No, you're not dreaming, we're not talking about the Eiffel Tower, but about the Statue of Liberty. Not only is it not only found in New York, but it exists in 5 copies in Paris. In the 15th arrondissement of Paris, it is found on the banks of the Seine, near the Grenelle bridge.

This bronze statue, imagined by the sculptor Bartholdi, is a miniature replica of the original American work, and benefits from a breathtaking view of the  Eiffel Tower.

Take a walk in the André Citroën park

Installed on the site of the former Citroën factory, the park of the same name is a public garden in Paris 15 where it is pleasant to walk. Between two visits to monuments, take the time to discover this green space inaugurated in 1992, and admire the aquatic scenography and vegetation.

You will then notice that the André Citroën Park is divided into 3 parts: the large central park, the White garden and the Black garden.

Take a walk in the Georges Brassens park

Still in the heart of the 15th arrondissement, the Georges Brassens Park bears the name of the famous poet, author, composer and performer who lived nearby, first in the impasse Florimont of the 14th arrondissement, then in the rue Santos-Dumont, in Paris 15.

You will find there a little haven of peace where the horse market and slaughterhouses used to be. Today, the small park with its typically Parisian look is ideal for strolling, and you will make the astonishing discovery of 700 vines and an apiary.

Visit the Antoine Bourdelle Museum

The Antoine Bourdelle museum honors the famous French sculptor and former disciple of Auguste Rodin. In this place, which previously housed the Maine studio he founded, you will discover his marble, plaster and bronze sculptures, as well as his paintings.

This small free museum also occasionally presents temporary exhibitions.

Climb to the top of the Montparnasse Tower

209 meters high, the Montparnasse tower is the tallest skyscraper in inner Paris. You can then climb to the top of this building designed by 4 French architects, and enjoy the panorama offered by this 56th floor.

Stop at the panoramic observatory, and take the time to enjoy the 360° view of Paris from the terrace.

Shopping at the Beaugrenelle Paris shopping center

When shopping in Paris, we inevitably think of the department stores on the Grands Boulevards. But the 15th arrondissement also offers a very modern shopping center, a stone's throw from the Bleu de Grenelle hotel. Between prestigious brands, reference brands, multiplexes and restaurants, the Beaugrenelle Paris offers you a unique experience to enjoy with family or friends.
